Michelle Barros

My name is Michelle Barros, I am 55 years old and work in Sales & Marketing for Michelin.  My husband and I are recent empty nesters and really enjoy traveling.  Since my youngest moved out we were really starting to ramp up traveling together.  I had a colonoscopy in January and shortly thereafter I was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer in February.  This was such a surprise to me.  

Naturally, my whole life turned upside down.  I have had 3 rounds of chemo starting in March, am currently undergoing radiation treatment, and I anticipate another 3 rounds of chemo and 1-2 surgeries by the end of 2023.  

I am very fortunate to have great support from my family, friends and colleagues. I am really grateful to be honored as a warrior in the Challenge To Conquer Cancer (C3) for 2023.
