A group of friends in Greenville SC joined together to host a local cycling event. Some had lost friends to cancer; some had lost a parent, some BOTH parents. One had fought the disease herself. In the inaugural year of this event, $30,000 was presented to the Lance Armstrong Foundation on behalf of participating cyclists. 

The Palmetto Peloton Project partnered with the US Professional Cycling Championships. The Stars and Stripes Challenge was created and serves as the fundraising component of the US PRO weekend in Greenville, SC. The Stars and Stripes Challenge event presented $82,000 to Cancer Services of the Greenville Hospital System and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Challenge to Conquer Cancer (C3) was officially established as a 501(c)3 non-profit.  The First Annual Challenge to Conquer Cancer (C3) relay ride to Austin TX. 23 cyclists and 31 support crew rode 24 hours per day, relay style to Austin, Texas for over 4 days. Upon arriving in Austin, the team participated in the Lance Armstrong LiveStrong challenge weekend events

C3 transitions from riding to Austin, TX to Lewiston, ME.  The team begin a new partnership with the Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing.

C3 celebrates 10th anniversary and over $1.5 million donated to cancer fighting agencies.

The year of COVID-19!  Like many organizations, C3 struggled with the decision of whether to proceed with our annual event.  The decision was made to hold a ride; however, we shortened it to 4 days and altered the course.  The team had a successful fundraising year donating $131,000 to our beneficiaries.

C3 holds a one-time Coast to Coast ride in the Spring donating $40,000 to our beneficiaries.  This ride covered 2,700 miles and 9 days with five teams riding relay style.

The Ride to Maine was the culmination of the year and catapulted C3's donation to beneficiaries over $2 million.

C3's 15th Anniversary year started with a bang as we held another one-time event riding the entire length of the Natchez Trace Parkway.  Six riders and two support drivers covered 430 miles in 5 days donating $25,000 to our beneficiaries.
